Try it on
Published On: June 28, 2018

So…I know I’ve told you this before.  But it was a long time ago, and some of you are new.  So I’ll do it again.  Put your thumb stitches on scrap yarn (instead of an extra needle) when you’re making mitts.

Why?  Well because it’s bendier.  When you try your mitt on, you’ll get a much better sense of how it fits.

And you should totally be trying your mitt on.  It’s the only way to know how tall to make the mitt before you divide for the thumb (having that too short is super uncomfortable).  It’s absolutely worth doing, and I promise it only takes a minute!
