We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming
There’s supposed to be an order. I knit stuff. I take pictures. I tell you about it. I get the pattern ready. I get fancy pictures of the finished thing. I bring the pattern out. That’s supposed to be the order.
And, because I do an AWFUL lot of patterns (no really…an awful lot…something like two a month most months, plus books…I’m pretty sure it averages out to more than two dozen a year for ten years running now), I have to carefully schedule all that out far enough ahead of time that getting a cold doesn’t throw off my whole plan.
And that, in turn, means that you’re usually seeing stuff a while after I knit it, all nicely timed to be in the lead up to when I plan to bring the pattern out. Which is why you were SUPPOSED to start seeing this lovely bit of goodness earlier this month. I was going to dole it out to you in some sort of reasonable way all July long.
But then ravelry said ‘hey, maybe you folks could go be a racist somewhere else?’ and I said ‘oh my goodness ravelry is so freaking awesome!’ and then a bunch of assholes thought the best possible response to me saying ‘I think ravelry did a brave and reasonable thing’ was to send lots of nasty bullshit my way (because rape and death threats are apparently the cost of having an opinion on the internet…cool…that seems legit).
So then I bought some consolation yarn and knit a hat that I had to share with you real time because it was my therapy hat. And it totally worked and I’m so glad I shared it the way I did. But it does mean that I’ve got LOTS of this fluffy bit of pretty to flash you with over the next little while as we get close to its August 6 release date. But really…that’s not at all a bad thing. Seeing a lot of this is a pretty good way to pass a few minutes of time. Because WOW does it get good fast!
