I…I think I want something slightly different. Not a different yarn, the yarn is just what I want. But a slightly different brim.

So now I believe it’s traditional to knit another inch or so to make sure I really do want to change it, and only then to rip it out and start over.

Which I admit, does seem a bit inefficient. But it’s a time honored practice, and who am I to question it. You need to be really really sure before you rip…and the only way to be really sure is to have more information to go on.

So don’t get too attached to this just yet.
