Grounding
These are called Grounding, and they’re out on both ravelry and payhip. You can use the code SLIPPERS for 15% off in either place through the end of the week. Or, if you’re a Rampant Nonsense member on Patreon, you get this pattern and a bunch of others included with your membership. There’s a whole list of them!
These are just fun to put together. They start at the center back of the heel with a double sided cast on. You work flat until your fabric is long enough to meet in front of your ankle, then you start working in the round. You do a few decreases, then cruise along until it’s time for your toes. They feel like a marvelous mix of sock, shoe, and feat of engineering magic, which is all I can reasonably ask of a slipper!
You can make them with thicker yarn if you want to push them in a sturdier direction, with thinner yarn if you want something a bit more delicate, and either way they’re a quick and satisfying knit.
Once again, the pattern is called Grounding, it’s on both ravelry and payhip, and you can use SLIPPERS to take 15% off in either place through the end of the week (if you’re on the mailing list, check your email, you got a bigger discount there). Or Rampant Nonsense folks get this and a bunch of other patterns included with their membership (and yes, you can put anything you get there in your ravelry library, and it’s yours forever, even if you stop being a member later).
And oh…oh there are several more slippers in the queue at the moment. I suspect the next one will be out next month. So here’s hoping you like slippers just as much as I do, because you’re going to be seeing a lot of them for the next few weeks!
