Stabby
Published On: March 2, 2025

Right. So. I love angry, stabby, sweary little pins. Therefore I have many angry, stabby, sweary  little pins. Rather more than I feel like wearing on any given day. But that doesn’t I don’t want to see them.

Enter our little paper friend.

By cutting a piece of plastic embroidery canvas to size and sneaking it in the knitting before you graft it, you end up with a piece that is both stiff (so it will stand up if you lean it against something) and perforated (so you can put your pins in). I am delighted.

And angry. And stabby. And sweary. But mostly delighted!

Pattern (and kits!) soon(ish). Which means ‘likely next month.’

And alas, no, I do not recall where all the pins are from. Best I can recall is that at least one is from Veronica Dearly and one from Alex Tinsley. But the rest are lost to the mists of time.

And yes, yes my whole damn house is covered in rainbows every sunny day because I filled my windows with diffraction grating. Yes, I do recommend this course of action to literally anyone struggling with The Circumstances. I’ll use this one (yes, super gross amazon affiliate link, because fuck those guys but also if you’re gonna shop there, you can at least make them give me a tiny slice of their filthy lucre), but you can totally also just put the name of it in your search bar of choice and then bask in the glow.
