The Posy book is out. Which means you, too, can spend the afternoon playing with coffee filters and dye and making the prettiest little paper flowers you ever did see. And honestly, I think you should. I think it’s good for your brain to make something beautiful, and I think you’ll feel better if you do. And all that goes double if you sweet talk your friends into coming over to play!

I did something new with this project. I made oodles of videos so you can watch me make these while I talk you through it, just in case you’re having the kind of day where you need someone to talk to you instead of making you read. And patreon gives me a neat way to organize them, so let me see if I can point you to the right place for all the different bits and pieces!

• Everybody else can buy the book right here. I feel obliged to mention it’s literally cheaper to join us for a month, get the book, then cancel or switch to a free membership. And of course the book is yours forever (along with some other patterns), even if you change or cancel your membership (because I am old enough to believe you buy books, not rent them!).
• If you want to watch the videos, they’re right here. Anyone with any sort of patreon membership (yes, including the free one) can watch them! They walk you gathering your supplies, dyeing and cutting your paper, and putting your flowers together. If you want videos but really don’t want to join patreon, even for free, you can buy the collection without having a membership (which will get you both the book and access to the videos).

Whew, I think that covers it all! Does it seem complicated? I mean maybe a little, but I have faith in us. The gist is ‘Utter & Rampant Nonsense folks already have it, other folks can get it, and there are videos in case your brain likes those.’ That’s about as streamlined as I can make it (while still making sure folks both on and off patreon can play)!

So now…all we need to do is figure out when you’re going to hang out with friends and make them. Because I really think you should. In fact, I have some extra stuff in the book to make that easier to do (some streamlined templates and a quick assembly guide to help you teach other folks how to make them). I mean I’m having a friend over to play this Saturday, and I feel like maybe you should too!
