I have a bin in the closet mentally labeled ‘samples that are in good enough shape that, were I ever to wish to revisit that pattern, I could probably just take new pictures instead of getting new samples knit’ (look, I know myself well enough to know that all old work will eventually bug me enough that I wish to either revisit it or hide it away forever…I can’t change this, but I have learned to work with it). And since lots of the retired patterns are available for the next few days, it seemed like a fine time to have a little rummage in the bin.

These are the first four I pulled out, and I was pleasantly surprised I (more or less) remembered the names of all of them. (Do I sometimes forget the names of my own patterns? Why yes, yes I do. There are rather a lot of them. I have a fondness for fancy words. And there’s been a lot of stuff going on for the last few years and my brain has suggested it would rather not remember all of it thank you very much.)

These are (starting at the bottom and moving clockwise, and counting only the things out of the bin) Various & Sundry, Circumvolute, Keepsies, and Stochastic. All of which are up for the next couple of days and then will go back to their comfortable retirement. But if you’re speedy, you can grab them while they’re here!
