So I knit a mini hat to take the instructional photos for the Snowday pattern. (Why yes, yes I was that obnoxious kid who did extra math problems in gradeschool, why do you ask?) And I suspect one or two of you might possibly want to make it. So I wrote up a couple quick notes to let you do that if you want!

It is, and I cannot emphasize this strongly enough, absolutely not a stand alone pattern. You need the Snowday pattern for it to make sense. It will seem (and indeed is) incomplete without the stuff in the full pattern (this is code for, “if someone messages me saying ‘there is stuff missing from this pattern’ I will thud my forehead into the desk really hard, and I already have a headache, so I don’t need to do that right now”).

But Rampant Nonsense folks (all of whom can get the full pattern free on this post through the end of March), can make the little guy if they want (it’s over on this patreon post).

Will I eventually add this in to the pattern? I mean probably? Theoretically? But likely not till next winter. And no, we will not be giving odds on whether I actually remember to do that or not. I make no promises. So if you want it, this is the way to get it!
