Not done, but damn
Published On: April 14, 2026

Ok so I told you last time it wasn’t quite done. And while nothing is ever really done (you just eventually die and so stop noticing), another couple of hours of work got it pretty firmly in to the ‘done for now’ state.

I decided I absolutely could get a cheap outdoor carpet for the floor (because standing on concrete floors makes my fat, middle-aged body hurt in surprisingly short order), and that it was actually completely reasonable to order a couple of bins to organize stuff. And I will probably end up getting rolling drafting stool so I can move around the tables as I get things packed, and maybe even a light because garage ceiling florescent bulbs are migraine fuel if you hang out under them for long. But most of the rest of what’s out there is either repurposed from around the house or found by the side of the road, and I’m feeling ridiculously smug about how functional a space I could make on a really tight budget.

So next time you get a package from me, you can pretty much assume I packed it for you sitting right here. Ya know…at least until it gets to be winter again, at which point I reserve the right to go back to doing it inside where it’s warm!
