The weirdest favor…with a prize
I have the weirdest favor to ask…
It’s time for me to reach out to yarn shops about the nifty little knitting multitool we’re all so excited about. And while I caaaaan just send a bulk email about it, that’s awkward as hell (I mean I’ve done it before for books, but ugh it’s just never fun). It works so much better if I can say “I asked my people where they’d like to see these, and your loyal customer Barbara said she’d love it if you carried them.”
I have it on good authority that yarn stores don’t mind this! No single store can keep up with all the cool new things out there, and they want to know what their customers are excited about. You letting them know about neat things is helpful to them and to me and to you!
So here’s the plan…
If you want to see this in your local yarn store, leave a comment on this post over here (it’s public, anyone can see and comment on it) with two pieces of information!
- The name of the shop: And pretty please some other piece of information that will help me find them like a city and state or better yet a link to their website or their instagram handle (because an awful lot of yarn stores have similar names and it can be hard to tell from just a name).
- How they know you: Are you Catherine with the never ending yellow sweater or Jodi who just bought all that purple yarn or Cindy who never misses Tuesday knit night? Just something about you that will remind them who you are so when I send an email and say ‘so and so told me to reach out to you,’ they won’t think I’m making it up!
I’ll reach out to the shops, say ‘hey your awesome customer so and so told me she’d love to see these in your store, wanna chat?’ (Don’t worry, I promise I’ll be super chill and send them literally one message. I for sure don’t have time to go pester anyone more than that, and wouldn’t want to be a bother even if I weren’t busy. Even doing this much feels scandalous!)

And here’s the prize…
If the store you recommend ends up placing a wholesale order, I’ll include a little goodie bag in their box with one of the tools and some bonus treats for you, and you can pick it up next time you’re in the store. Well, I mean technically I’ll ask them if I can and do it if they say yes (and if they say no, they can’t actually manage that for some reason, I’ll reach out to you directly and we’ll set something up instead, I don’t want to make things hard for the shop). But I bet most of them will say yes, because I suspect most of you are buddies with your local shop and they’d love to see you.
I’ll leave this open for comments for the next few days or so then write off to shops so we can be sure to get them taken care of before I order all of these!
Wheeeeee…
And just in case you just found us/your inbox is a busy place/it slipped your mind/you’re wondering what the heck I’m talking about, the preorder for the multitool is right over here.

And the post with pretty much every single thing I could imagine anyone wanting to know about them (including a video walk through of all the bits and pieces) is right over here! Yay for making cool things and doing neat stuff!
