Monthly Reminder
Published On: May 30, 2026

Hey folks, it’s bad out there. I know everyone is busy and overwhelmed, but you really should make sure you have abortion pills in your medicine cabinet. Like Now. No, right now.

Because earlier this month it was illegal to mail abortion pills for a hot second. (Fine fine, teeeeechnically the Fifth Circuit of Appeals reinstated an old, in-person dispensing requirement for mifepristone while a case, Louisiana v. FDA, works its way through the system. That meant everyone, everywhere in the entire country, would be required to show up, in person, at a health care provider to be handed mifepristone. You couldn’t get it at a pharmacy or online. That got bullshit got paused, then stayed, while the case continues to work its way through the court. So for now things are back to normal, but the case will almost certainly end up in front of the Supreme Court, and we all know how that goes.) And you know that’s going to happen again. So now is the time to go get abortion pills, because the next time they take them away, they might stay gone.

Abortion pills are safe (literally safer than tylenol), effective (up to 13 weeks), available online (everywhere, even in states with bans), available free if you can’t pay for them, and available now, even if you’re not currently pregnant (they last for several years).

I like Aid Access (that’s where the ones in my medicine cabinet came from), because they are a Dutch organization and do not give one single solitary fuck about gross American laws. But Plan C has a list of other places if you want more options.

Because really, if you or anyone you care about could get pregnant, these should be in your medicine cabinet. Get them while you still can.
