Quick update on the ongoing delight that has been this summer’s indigo vat. I fully intended to play with this once and be done with it, but instead I have found myself keeping it going for several weeks and just sort of idly playing with dipping (and redipping and reredipping) things whenever I feel like finding an excuse to be outside for a little while.

Does this mean I have a lifetime supply of pretty blue napkins? I mean no, because I’m going to inflict them on unsuspecting friends and family come holiday time. And it also means I’m going to inflict them, though at a slightly greater remove, on you dear reader.

Because there is little in life as satisfying as opening one of theeeeeeese (slightly crunchy, slightly funky) little bits of tied up tangles…

And finding this inside….

Well first comes a bit of washing and an uncharacteristic amount of ironing…

But then comes the basking in the glory! Wander over this way if you want to watch me actually open it (it’s a public post, anybody can watch it, it’s just easier to post video over there).
