Ok, that’s it. I’ve decided the universe is conspiring against me in an attempt to teach me patience. I’m going to take another approach. There is no big shiny thing I’m waiting to tell you. That was all in my head. I was having a hallucination. Really, carry on, nothing to see here. I shall just push ahead with my other planned blather. And if the big shiny thing happens to come along later…well, then I’ll let you know about it then. In the meantime, more yarn.
On the left is Saffron Dyeworks in Mica in the color Botanical. It’s a 50/50 silk merino blend in a nice sturdy dk weight. The picture doesn’t do it justice. It’s absolutely luminous in person. It is also the softest thing you will ever feel. It absolutely begs to be knit into something snuggly for wearing right up against your skin. I’d swear it was cashmere if I didn’t know better.
On the right is Saffron Dyeworks in Tush in the color New Growth. It’s an 80/10/10 merino cashmere nylon blend and just a tiny bit heavier than your standard sock yarn. It, too, has a wonderfully saturated color.
This book is my first chance to work with Saffron Dyeworks, and I’m thrilled to have the chance to get to know DeAnna and her yarn. Both her color sense and her enthusiasm are amazing. Working with her has been a complete delight.
