I think I may have made an error in judgement.  Not the kind that gets you arrested or even sued.  But the kind that leaves you swearing at yourself and at your knitting.  You see, I started a hat.  That wasn’t the error.  The error was not checking to see if the single 150 yard ball of yarn I had was enough.  I just sort of thought, 150 yards is plenty for a hat, I’ll be fine.

Not so much.

So, now for the shameless abuse of power part.  Does anybody out there have a skein (or a partial skein) of Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend in color 3104 (it’s an orange/gold/red mix) I could talk you out of?  I checked the rav for the sell trade and asked there, and I checked online, but no one seems to offer this color.  If you’ve got it and you’re not going to use it, I would be thrilled to buy it off of you.  I know it’s a long shot, but on the off chance, I thought I’d ask before I ripped…

Holy yarn weasels Batman, the internet (and the knitters on it) are awesome.  I think the problem is solved.  This has made my whole day!
