I’m in an instant gratification mood.  Hence the wee tiny cuff (if I’d been a smart kid and not picked the wrong needles to start, I would have finished this yesterday, as it stands, I’ll finish it today).

That’s Space Cadet Creations Ester in one of the Mini-Skein Club colors.  And if you’ve been here for a very long time and have an alarmingly good memory, you may recognize the pattern as a very old one of mine, Colophon.  That is not an accident.

You see, one of my big (alarmingly big…possibly verging into the realm of daunting) projects this year (and quite possibly next year) is to take my early patterns and revamp them.  That means new knitting, new pictures, new text, new charts, new layout, new everything.  It’s not that the old ones were wrong, just that they’re not as good as I can make them now, and they bug me.  So I’m fixing them.

I took down the oldest ones last year.  Some of them will be coming back, some may stay gone.  But Colophon is one of the ones destined for re-release, and I needed a quick project, so they’re on the needles at the moment.  I’m rather taken with them!
