Louche
Published On: June 29, 2021

We did it…we got a pattern back out Every Single Tuesday (yes, yes all five of the blasted things) All Month Long (despite BONUS SURPRISE UNEXPECTED KITTEN INTERLOPERS, about which more soon). These are Louche, and I am alarmingly fond of them.

This pattern is a beautiful example of what you can do with basic ribbing and a few strategically placed increases and decreases. No lace. No cables. No brioche. No colorwork. Just nice mellow ribbing, the occasional increase or decrease to nudge things around, and lovely stretches of stockinette.

Combine it with a yarn with that really shows off your stitches (this is Spacecadet Yarn’s Oriana 8-ply which is one of my favorites for stitch definition) and it is so sharp you could cut yourself!

Louche, and all my other socks, are 20% off for just a tiny bit longer with the code SO MANY SOCKS. I’ve put all the eligible patterns in one spot for you (because there are rather a lot of them). You can find them on ravelry or payhip.

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I need to go admire my sock basket for a few minutes. Because it’s been kind of fun to revisit these (and their fellows) and it’s got me longing for woolly sock weather!
