Can I promise that, if you make a stack of these, you will always know where your scissors (and needles, and stitch markers, and cable needles, and tape measure) are? I mean no, I can’t in good conscience do that. I try not to lie to you. But I do think it will improve your odds! And at least if they’re in one of these, then if your tools do go missing, you’ll know they’re off having an adventure together and no one will be lonely.
I kind of love these. Like more than I usually love the absurd things I make. Like to the point where I made three different versions (the original, one with an extra deep pocket for things like stitch markers, and an extra large one for things like dpns or hooks or interchangeables) because I just could not bring myself to be done with them. I blame that little tape measure closure, it just does something to my brain every single time.
If you suddenly find yourself convinced that these will bring order to your project bag and keep your scissors from running away with your stitch markers, you can find the pattern on both ravelry and payhip. You can use the code MEASURED to take 15% off in either place through the end of Saturday.
Or, patrons at either the Utter Nonsense or Rampant Nonsense level get the pattern included as part of their membership. Here’s the part where I mention that joining the Utter Nonsense level for a month costs less than buying the pattern (even with the discount code). And it’s absolutely fine to join for the month, get the pattern (and all the other patterns that come with your membership) and then cancel (and yes, you can totally put patterns you get that way into your ravelry library and they’ll still be there if you cancel). It’s a pretty neat setup, folks really seem to like it!
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to load a bunch of these up and put one in every project bag and next to all the knitting chairs in the hope that I will spend less of my life wandering my house searching for a darning needle. I’ll let you know if it works!
