The retired patterns come back twice a year, and they’re coming back next week! I wanted to give everyone a heads up, because I know some of you are planners, and everyone is busy!

• Last year I retired most of my earlier patterns (because maintaining a massive back catalog required a staggering amount of admin time and I just couldn’t manage it any more). But lots of folks have said they miss them, so twice a year I bring (most of) them back!⁠
• ⁠It’s not every single pattern. Some of the very earliest ones are just not polished enough to see the light of day. But it is all the ones I feel good about sharing! Between the books and the individual patterns, it’s about 200 old friends (alas, no, there isn’t a list, but they’ll be up for a full week, so you won’t be rushed).⁠
• ⁠Turning the patterns on and off is a tremendously manual process, but the plan is to sit down on Monday, November 20 and turn them on. Then let folks know they’re up. Then disappear into the ether and not touch my computer for the rest of the week. I’ll turn them back off on Tuesday, November 28. Because it takes a couple of hours to turn them on and off, I can’t give you exact start and end times. But you can plan on Tuesday, November 21-Monday, November 27 (even though really it’ll be a little bit longer than that). Once they’re off, they’re off until the next time we do this (likely some time next summer).⁠
• ⁠The retired patterns will be listed at a discount ($7.50 for individual patterns instead of $10.00, $15.95 for the books instead of $19.95-$24.95). You won’t need a code, the list price will just be the discounted price (that way there’s no chance of someone forgetting to put in the code, which is important because I won’t be checking my email that week, so I won’t be around to fix stuff for folks).⁠
