Ahem. Again. An undeniable lapse in judgement. And yes, probably several of them, as both the peg dolls and the various wing bits were all pulled from the depths of the office closet. I have a very well-equipped closet.

Now the real question is, do I hurry and get these out late this month? Or do I tuck them away and have them come out next year?

If I wait till next year, I’ll likely do a knitted version of the wings as well. If I do them this year, we’ll go with the felt (or cork, or vinyl, or ultrasuede, or most anything else you can cut without it fraying). And there’s a decent chance I’ll do an update next year with a knitted version of the wings (but as always, I can’t absolutely promise, because my brain is prone to distractions and who the hell knows what life and the world will look like a year from now).

But if there are other folks out there who suddenly really really really need a little batling friend…well I might accidentally have knit several of these and taken several dozen instructional photos and made all the charts and started the pattern over the weekend. As you do. And I bet I could have it ready for testing by Thursday or so.
