Abortion is an economic issue. Financial issues (or financial issues in conjunction with other issues) are the most common reason people have abortions. Most people who have abortions are already parents and know damn well how expensive it is to care for a child. And a lot of folks realize they can’t afford it and so decide not to have more children.

And now this administration is taking food and other benefits away from millions of hungry families. This is vile. They want us poor and desperate. And, for some unfathomable reason, pregnant. It’s vile, and I hate them forever. But you absolutely do not have to stay pregnant if you don’t want to (whether that’s because you can’t afford to or for literally any other reason at all).

Aid Access will get you abortion pills, no matter where you live. Abortion pills are safe and effective, and you can get them before you’re pregnant just in case you need them later. And, if you can’t afford to pay for them, Aid Access will get them to you for free.

We send them a donation every month to help cover the work they do in getting pills to folks who need them.

And this month, because of the fuckery of this bullshit administration, we’re sending an extra donation to my local food pantry. Because god damn it people need to eat. (If you’re able, it’s always best to send money instead of buying things to donate because the organization can make those dollars stretch further than you can. So if you’re able, donate cash rather than buying extra stuff at the grocery store.)
