Non-slip Slippers?
Wanna see how the Sock Stop* samples came out? You can watch me wiggle them around over here (for, despite my best attempts, I cannot actually convey in words all the things I can show in a video).

The verdict seems to be that it does, indeed, make for a grippier surface (if enough of use it, it becomes a word, that’s how words work). It dried mostly clear (more so on the paper and the woven fabric, a little less so on the knitted fabric). It didn’t soak through to the back side (not even on the paper), and seems to be quite firmly stuck in place. It does limit the stretch of the stretchy fabric, and you can totally feel it on the back side, but that’s to be expected from, you know, a rigid substance placed on a stretchy textile.

Next up, I’m going to test it on some socks (not hand knit ones, I’m not quite that bold) and see how it feels under foot and how it holds up in the wash and the dryer. More soon!
*As always, amazon are the devil and you should buy this somewhere local if that’s available to you! But if you’re gonna buy it on amazon because that’s what’s available to you and want them to send me a tiny sliver of their filthy plunder, you can use the affiliate link (and if not, you can totally search for Sock Stop and find it yourself, it’s good either way).
