Tactile Object
I can think of very few objects as deeply satisfying to hold and interact with as these little pieces of embroidered notebook paper. All available evidence seems to indicate that y’all are enamored with them too, so clearly we need to make it easy for as many of us to interact with them as possible! To that end, I’m doing four things.

- First, I’ll make a series of videos where I sort of gently talk you through how I made mine. Because if you’re looking at this and thinking ‘huh, I could make that,’ you’re right, you totally could! Anyone hanging out with us over on Patreon (yes, including free folks) will be able to see those.
- Second, I’ll write up more formal instructions. Because while you absolutely can for sure figure this out on your own (I mean I did, so clearly it’s a thing people can do), there is a fair bit of trial and error involved. And sometimes, a person would prefer to skip right over that and straight to the bit with templates and step by step instructions. That pattern will likely go out to everyone with any sort of paid membership.
- Third, and oh I am hideously excited about this, I’m getting blank, prepunched cards made. Yup, I talked to my printer and said ‘erm…so…I mean I know you’re a printer and all, but maybe just maybe you’d let me make something without ink but with a whole bunch of holes?’ and they were kind enough to say yes. Those will be an upcoming mailing for Notable Nonsense folks (liiiiikely April’s mailing, but I’m waiting on them to come in the mail, and until they are actually physically in my hands I cannot promise anything).
- Fourth, and yup, unspeakably tickled about this too, I’m getting notecards made with the stitches already on there. Because sometimes what you want is the vibe with absolutely none of the work, and that’s totally valid! Those will also be a mailing for Notable Nonsense folks (this time likely in May, though again, I’m waiting for them to come in the mail, and I make not promises until they’re actually here and ready to ship).
I emphasize that the details of all of this will wiggle a little as we go along (any time you’re summoning a brand new physical object into the world through sheer force of will and waggling of credit card, there can be surprises and delays along the way). But files are with the printer and the pattern is underway, so I expect we’ll make it happen!
Now for the hard part, what will you write on yours?
