Getting Unstuck
Ok so I told you last time that I was feeling stuck. And now I’m going to try something to get unstuck. I’m going to sit out in the long summer twilight with a bunch of friends and do a craft.

I’ve gotten all the stuff to do an indigo vat, summoned every person I can possibly convince to show up at my house on a Thursday afternoon (don’t give me that look, you know how hard it is to get a doze busy adults in the same place at the same time), rounded up a bunch of rubber bands and bits of things to act as resists, and am going to spend the afternoon turning no end of things a lovely blue.
Because oh wow is it easy to feel isolated and lonely and alone when the world is like this. And if you feel isolated and lonely and alone, then it’s much easier to convince yourself that you’re powerless. When in reality, you are part of a community, and you are powerful. Sometimes you just need a little reminder.
So tomorrow, I’m going to sit in the sunshine and eat popsicles and do a fun little project with friends. And my secret hope is that it leaves us all feel a little stronger and a little more connected and a little more aware of how very capable we all are. So that we can get up the next day and keep trying. Wanna see how it comes out?

Anyone else feeling the need to spend time with your people these days? Got anything planed to connect?
I’d love to hear what you’re doing to hold it together right now, I know I can’t be the only one feeling a bit adrift, and I’d love to borrow everyone’s good ideas!
