I made these for the mail club this summer, everyone loved them and wanted more, so now I’ve made that happen.

They pack a whole bunch of tools into a teeny tiny space, and I’ve never seen anything quite like them, so let me tell you all about them!

• They’re sturdy metal cards, just a hair bigger than a credit card (about the size of a playing card, they fit fine in most any wallet).
• They’ve got three useful measuring tools, each in metric units on one side and imperial units on the other.
  • You’ve got a needle gauge (US sizes 0-5, metric sizes 2-3.75mm).
  • You’ve got a ruler (3 inches on one side, 7 cm on the other).
  • And you’ve got a stitch gauge (lay it on your fabric, count the stitches in the window, and either divide by 2 for stitches/inch or multiply by 2 for stitches/10 cm).
• In the middle you’ve got five punch out needles and two punch out crochet hooks, perfect for whatever sort of textile emergency you might encounter!
• Each tool comes in both a plastic sleeve (to keep the punch out tools from snagging on things) and a velum envelope (to keep it safe in your bag and to keep track of the punch out bits).

Everyone who touches these wants a stack of them, so I’ve set it up so that you can get either two for $50 or five for $100 (that’s basically getting one free if you get five!).

I’m also doing a special preorder bonus. Everyone who preorders will get a bonus gauge card (lay it on top of your knitting, find the row where one stitch fills one square, and you’ve found your gauge). I’ll put one in the two pack and two in the five pack.

The price includes shipping in the US. International shipping is an extra $5 (if it doesn’t show your country, just let me know where you are and I can add it for you, I have to add them one by one so they’re not all in there).

These will go in the mail December 1 and should arrive in time for Christmas. That’s a full week before the international shipping deadline and two weeks before the domestic shipping deadline, so I’m pretty confident it will work. That said, the tyrant in chief is threatening to mess with the post office to prevent us from voting, so there’s always a chance that something wildly beyond my control (like the government shutting down the postal service) will happen and cause problems. But I’ll do everything I possibly can on my end to make it work!

The preorder will be open for about three weeks. As soon as the final round of samples gets here, I’m placing my big order with the manufacturer and closing the preorder. I’ll get enough for the preorder, plus a few more for folks who find us after, but these are pricey enough to make that I’m not getting a lot of extras. I’ll probably have a few listed for a couple of days before they ship, but ordering them now is the only sure way to get them!
