Yearly tradition
The time has come, winter draws near, we must raid the Strategic Cashmere Reserves (aka the pile of sweaters old sweaters that don’t fit well at the back of the closet) and cut one down to make this year’s pajama sweater.

The pinking shears are honestly just because they don’t get much use and I want to let them come out and play. The first few times I did this, I thought it would help prevent fraying/unraveling, but I’ve found over time it doesn’t actually make much of a difference and nothing really comes undone, no matter what scissors I use.

Yay for turning stuff you already have but don’t use into something you will get significant use out of instead of buying something new. And the most withering of silent, disapproving stares to anyone who sends a message affronted that I have done something to My Own Belongings to make them better suit My Own Ends (a thing that consistently happens every single time I modify, again, one of my own existing possessions, to suit me better). Double yay to bothering unreasonable people enough to take up that kind of space in their heads.
