Cerise & The Fibre Company
I’m going to make a confession. Despite more or less passing as an adult most of the time, I am occasionally far too easily amused. The wonderful, bouncy spiral on this piece entertains me far more than it has any right to. My only consolation is that I’m not alone. Everyone I’ve shown this one to has had a similar reaction. I suspect may of you may find it delightfully amusing too. The fact that it’s also easy to knit and fun to wear is a delightful bonus.
And this yarn is a perfect fit for the piece. The alpaca makes it fabulously warm (even though the fabric is very open and airy). And the mix of fibers (alpaca, silk, camel, and cashmere) plus the construction (3 softly spun plies, loosely brought together) gives the yarn a wonderful slinky, drapey feel. It blocks beautifully (and you will want to block this one rather vigorously), and of course the color is smashing. This was my first time working with yarn from The Fibre Company, but I suspect it won’t be the last!
