If you’re my neighbor, you’re probably eventually going to come upon me, sprawled out full length on the ground, pointing a whole lot of camera at a very small bit of knitting and carefully nudging a clump of moss or a wisp of leaf into just the right spot.  Which is fine!  Assuming I’m not in someone else’s yard or dangerously close to the road, I maintain that this is harmless.

But it does give rise to a bit of chatter.  So I try to allow for a reasonable length of time between incidents so as not to stir up too much talk.  And I just took the acorn pictures last week, so normally, I’d be trying to exercise a bit of restraint for the next few days and not do anything to attract notice.

But…well…I just really wanted to show you how these all look together.  Because holy crap things are grim out there right now, and this is apparently how I’m staving off despair this year.

Which again, I maintain is fairly harmless (and much better than the approach some folks seem to take where they blatantly ignore science or strip significant portions of the citizenry of their voting rights or deny millions of people access to healthcare or regulate who grown ass adults love and how they express their gender).
