Variations on a theme, take 2
Published On: December 14, 2022

Here’s another round of variations, this time a little less dramatic, because ok fine, maybe not everyone shares my deep and abiding need to change every aspect of every set of directions at every possible opportunity (though really, that’s how I ended up with this job, so I can’t complain too much about my contumacious nature).

This is star A (which is the simplest one to start with if you’re feeling nervous). Once again, the white one is in the book, and the blue one is the same set of folding instructions, just with a very slight nudge to where you fold up the bottom point and put together following the widest lines on the assembly guide (instead of the narrower ones on the white star).

I especially like following the wider lines on darker colored paper like this because it lets a bit more light in at the center of the star, where things can get a bit dense in the darker paper.

I’ll see if I can’t do a Rather More Dramatic set of changes for one more of these sets of variations for tomorrow…I have a suspicion I can!
