So I mean yes, working these straight up and down is lovely and tidy and orderly. And I think the very first time you do it, you should probably go with the straight version, because it’s the simplest. But once you’ve played with it just a tiny tiny bit, and you see how easy it is, I highly recommend you try the offset version.

It’s kind of spiffy. Or maybe I’m just overly exuberant and inclined to excess. Maybe both. Both could totally be the actual answer here.
