Restraint
Published On: April 24, 2024

I mean, you didn’t think I wandered out of the Fiber Witch Festival with just two piles of yarn did you? That…that would be an unheard-of level of restraint.

And really, Seven Sisters Arts is how I heard about the festival in the first place, so clearly I had a moral obligation to go say hi. Those two middle skeins are her Zodiac base in Frankincense and Oak Moss (and they will be joining the dedicated Seven Sisters Arts bin in the stash, because my god I swear I have more of her yarn than anyone else’s).

The speckle-y goodness on the left is East Coast Yarn’s DK Donegal base in the colors You’re So Golden and Sand. And the good cheer in a pile on the right is an Albers Yarn Set plus an extra skein of Albers Gray from Subito Farm.

Once again, I don’t have specific plans for these (I very rarely buy yarn with a specific plan in mind), but yellow and gray are always fun to play with, and I’m sure something will come to me in time!

And once again, thanks to the folks at Fiber Witch Festival for requiring masks for the first hour of the market! That’s totally what made me decide to go, and I very much hope more events will follow their lead.

If you’re doing a fiber event and requiring masks for it, totally let me know and I’ll be happy to shout it out. I know I’m not the only one who feels more comfortable going to events that value the safety of their vendors and attendees, and having at least some time where you require masks is a really great way to show you care.
