Turned hem
Published On: April 25, 2024

I have come to really really love turned hems on hats. They do the same ‘keep it extra cozy on the ears’ thing that a folded brim does, but without having to constantly fuss with where the fold is and wonder if it’s straight and wonder if it’s slipping down and refold it when you yank it out of a pocket.

How about you, have you tried a turned hem? Do you like them? Do you want to try them? Are you suddenly feeling like you want to sneak hidden messages (or at least other colors) inside the next one you make? Because I find myself wanting to do something sneaky inside my next one….

The pattern is called Delineated, it’ll walk you through the hem with lots of pictures and hand holding, just in case it feels scary, and it’s in all the usual spots! You know, just in case you share my proclivities.
