Show off

Here’s the full progression from blocked and shiny, back to one blocked one not for contrast, then back to fresh off the needles.

Now…do I normally block socks like this every time I pull them out of the washing machine? No I very much do not. I do this (with the sock blockers and the carefully making sure the leg and foot are lined up straight and the gentle tugging to keep the top of the cuff straight) happens the first time and for photos or for gifting.

After a regular wash, I just smooth them out flat (or flatish, depending on the day and how much of a hurry I’m in) on top of the dryer and call it good.

But the full progression is enough of a dramatic change that I want to show it off!

Quick reminder that this month’s Q&A post will be on sock questions, so if you’ve got any, wander over to the usual spot to send them my way!

And yes, yes you can probably assume that these will be coming back out very very soon now. Just as soon as I can get someone to bring their feet to the beach for some photos!
