It’s time to do a little more! Starting this month, we’re sending a monthly donation to the KO Initiative, a mutual aid organization that provides support to trans folks fleeing dangerous US states (in addition to our monthly donation to Aid Access, a Dutch organization that mails abortion pills anywhere in the US). You can listen to a great interview with two of the members of the initiative on the April 17 episode of Live Like the World is Dying.

Anti trans laws and anti abortion laws are both attempts by the sate to limit your bodily autonomy. They use the same tactics, and they do tremendous harm to the most vulnerable members of our community. If you oppose one, you should oppose the other.

As always, I encourage you to seek out the organizations in your area that are doing the work to oppose these laws and support the people affected by them. But until you find something local, both the KO Initiative and Aid Access are doing fantastic work and will make good use of your donations to directly help folks who need it most!
