Exact correct amount
I am having too much fun. Or, alternately, the exact correct amount of fun. Because really, if you can bring yourself an hour of enjoyable making (as you fold them up) and then weeks and weeks of ongoing delight (as they hang in your window and make those 4pm sunsets [...]
They’re coming back
The retired patterns come back twice a year, and they're coming back next week! I wanted to give everyone a heads up, because I know some of you are planners, and everyone is busy! Last year I retired most of my earlier patterns (because maintaining a massive back catalog required [...]
Proclivities
Remember how I said I found better paper? I totally wasn't kidding. Check this out! Gorgeous right? Not only is it nicer colors (and more of them), you can also find it with this glorious gradient that does amazing things when folded up. The only trick is you have to [...]
Smokey
I believe this may be the single most perfect marshmallow toasting I have ever achieved. Lightly golden brown, molten all the way through. This is also pretty much the exact moment when I learned that the teeny tiny fuzzy bits of yarn that stick out of floofy yarn to make [...]
Toasted
Toasted is out, and is quite possibly the most absurd thing I have ever spent my time knitting (which, given my track record on these things, is saying something). This one isn't for sale. Instead, it's a little present for anyone on the patreon or mailing list to say thank [...]
Scorched
I believe several folks asked for a scorched buddy...we all know it happens.
Piles and piles
The sun is setting...early. Too early. And that's not getting better any time soon. Which means it's time for these. Piles and piles and piles of these. You deal with the dark your way, I'll deal with it my way, and with a little bit of luck, we'll all [...]
Melty
Ok, I shall brave the controversy. What's your preferred level of marshmallow toast? I personally go toward the middle row, right hand side, but I realize tastes vary. The true test for me is 'how melty is the inside.' I prefer my marshmallow innards absolutely molten, with the outside [...]
All The Things
So when I say Block All The Things...I do indeed mean All The Things. Even the tiny ones! Now, is this strictly necessary? I mean literally nothing about two inch tall mittens is at all necessary, so obviously not. But does it make them look better? Yup. It really does. [...]
Pre soak
Unblocked (yes, I will block them, yes, it will make a difference in how they look, yes, even for something so tiny), but done enough to confirm that they are, indeed, adorable. Though not as adorable as they'll be after a brief soak and priming session.
