The freshly revamped and rereleased pattern for Colophon is now up on ravelry. Pics first, then info, but do read on because I've got yarn to give away too! I know these are simple little bits of knitting, but I admit I'm rather taken with them. They work in any sock or fingering weight yarn and need shockingly little yardage. Straight Lines
Zip zoom zowie. I swear that took no time at all. It took no time, and holy smokes is it cute, especially after a bit of a block. See? The yarn is Space Cadet Creations' Ester, and it is a delight to work with. It's a little skinnier than what I like for socks (my fondness for fat sock yarn is well documented), but it's lovely for projects like this. I'm in an instant gratification mood. Hence the wee tiny cuff (if I'd been a smart kid and not picked the wrong needles to start, I would have finished this yesterday, as it stands, I'll finish it today). I got overly ambitious and went ahead and released these early! These are simple and fun fingerless mitts designed to use up leftover bits of sock yarn. The airy pattern makes the most of limited quantities of yarn, and the ribbing makes for a very stretchy finished product. These are prefect for gift knitting!
