The hat is out on both ravelry and payhip! It’s called Penchant, and I have used it to shamelessly indulge my baser tendencies.
First things first, if you were on the mailing list or patreon as of Tuesday morning, go check your inbox.*
Now, that those official bits are out of the way, can I just say how much fun I had with these? They started with a mellow little rib at the bottom. Then I started playing with moving increases and decreases around to make the rib wander about over the surface of the hat. But the thing is, there’s more than one way to do that, and I am terribly indecisive, so I included both. Because sure, why not, two versions are more fun than one!
Then…because I truly do not know when to stop, and because Little Skein Anne’s yarns are so damn gorgeous I sort of went and doodled on them with a little bit of duplicate stitch. I’ll be writing that up to share with patrons later in the month, so keep an eye out for that if you want to do a bit of doodling of your own. For now, I’ll just tempt you with a little glamor shot to give you a sense of the general vibe!
Once again, the pattern is called Penchant. You can find it on ravelry and payhip, or you can join us over on patreon, at any level, and get it as part of your membership (through May 31, 2023). And keep an eye out later in the month for more on that nifty embroidery, it’s more fun than it probably should be, and I rather suspect you’ll enjoy it!
* If you weren’t on the mailing list by the time I sent this, alas you missed this one. But I do this from time to time, so you can sign up now if you want to be on there next time it happens. Also, anyone on the patreon (at any level, even the levels that cost less than what the pattern costs) can download the pattern as part of their membership. So if you missed the mailing list, that will let you get the pattern (and a couple of others too) for significantly less than what it would usually cost.
