Told you they were cute!
Don't worry, the sock has not been abandoned! There's actually been an awful lot of knitting going on behind the scenes these days, I've got a fairly alarming amount of back log I should be showing off... But for today, we're sticking with the socks. Just a little bit more
And here's the third patch for this go round. This one was another hole at the edge of the pocket (and a good reminder that if I ever knit a sweater, I should maybe do something to reinforce the corners of the pockets from the get go). And that's probably the end. Probably. I need to give the whole thing one more check to see if there are any other spots that need attention before it goes back in the closet!

Still mending
So here's the second round of current holes... The area at the corner of the pocket seems to have just come apart. Which makes sense, since it's a high stress spot. But oh my goodness are pockets handy enough to be worth it. Each one of these pictures shows about one more hour of stitching. I'm guessing by the time I'm done with this round of mending, I'll have something between 15 and 20 hours of total stitching time in on this sweater. Which makes it even more likely I'll fix it the next time it gets a hole! But [...]
