Grand Plans
You know what happens when you have a business? You order a lot of weird stuff on the internet. A lot. Like, say, 500 buttons. Because you simply need 500 of that button. For perfectly reasonable and valid reasons. And because they're pretty. Psst, that's a few dozen...500 is way bigger (and looks less pretty in a pile). This project is going to be fun...
Last Call
One tiny administrative announcement. The paper copies of Ne'er-Do-Well Knits are just about sold out. A tiny handful remain, and I expect them to all be spoken for in the next few days. Whenever I run out of a paper book, I always hear from folks who are sad they don't have a physical copy. If that's you, this is your official last call on this one. Grab it now if you want it! Pattern Writing for Knit Designers (review and giveaway)

After asking here, on twitter, on pinterest, and on ravelry, the answer to which pattern to put out next seems to be the hat and mitts. The votes were very close, but the idea of getting the hat out while there was still time to make and wear it this winter won out. Decisions, Decisions
So, I've got finished knitting, I've got finished patterns, all I need is photos. Luckily, I've also managed to flee my snowy, freezing home and come somewhere a bit warmer (not warm mind you, I'm still walking around bundled up in woolies, just warmer). Looks a bit like this. Make me a Map
Those of you who have the electronic version of Curls have already seen the little bonus in there. Many of the patterns sport a special little symbol that, when clicked, takes you over to a stitch map for that pattern. Stitch maps (the latest creation by super genius JC Briar) are a new way to think about charts. They're charts without the grids. I've mentioned I like my job, right? Because I really do like my job.
