Yup. Yup this is happening. And oh but it only gets worse from here. Consider yourself warned.⁠ If you want to head off in search of more somber, serious, respectable pursuits, I will completely understand. I will, in fact, pack you a lunch and wish you well on your journey. ⁠ But I? I'm going to be hanging out right here. Doing this. And worse. For the foreseeable future.

Folks, I fear things have gotten significantly out of hand. I have set the good, respectable, useful knitting aside. I do not expect to take it up again for quite some time. I have, instead, given myself over to the grip of this absurdity. I feel no remorse. None. I am scandalously unashamed. I know this will bring me absurd levels of glee, and I will by god chase that glee when I can. You can come along with me if you like.

You folks are, on the whole, an astonishingly clever and creative bunch. There is every possibility that you have come up with something cooler or cuter to do with the cap off of your orange juice bottle, that expired credit card in your desk drawer, the empty chapstick tube in your purse, the dried out nailpolish bottle in your bathroom, or the spool of thread you just finished off.
