Now that I've done this book thing a time or two, you'd think I'd know what to expect (or at least not get surprised when the same thing happens again). But no. Napping
One of my many goals in this life is to skip over being old and go right into being venerable. I like the sound of venerable much better than old. It has all the respect and wisdom bits, but sounds like it might avoid the creaky knees and questionable eyebrows that sometimes come with old. You guys are amazing. The response to the new book has been tremendous, and I am deeply grateful. Writing a book is always a leap of faith. I spend at least a year of my life bringing it into being. I spend ridiculous amounts of time pondering the yarn choices and the patterns and the charts and the pictures and all the supporting text. Publishing it myself brings a whole host of other considerations. I Can Neither Confirm Nor Deny
I may, just possibly, have received notification that a package is on its way to my house. That package could, just maybe, have the very first copy of KCC2 in it (because my printer is very very very nice and likes me and wants me to have it early to pet and possibly nuzzle). The tracking number says it should be delivered at 10:30 tomorrow morning. I'm considering spending the morning on the porch, just in case. Possibly with a butterfly net and a pair of field glasses, just to add to the look.
What Else?
You guys all know the book is going up for preorders on Tuesday. And I'm sure you can imagine how calm and cool and collected that has me feeling. Yup, super relaxed, that's me. Not at all dervish like or engaged in any sort of frantic scramble to make sure things are organized just so for that. Nope, not at all.
