Why Knitters Drink
Allow me to demonstrate: For the conveniently sized bottles for blocking of course. Whatever were you thinking? That's a blueberry liqueur and a cranberry liqueur bottle from Ironworks Distillery in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia (anybody around there? Please go try the rum for me. Prep Work
We are now less than one week out from the photo shoot for KCC2. This means I have allowed my inner organizational nutcase free rein. If I feel like pinning tags with lists of photos needed to each item, then I do. If I feel the need to make a list (using 3 different colors of pen and highlighter) of what to bring to each day of the photo shoot, well then I'll do that too. One morning next month I will wake up, collect a large box of knitting and props, and head off to do the photo shoot for KCC2. This is both exciting (because holy wow is seeing all the pictures fun) and terrifying (because it's the point in the process where the greatest number of things have to go right at the same time in order for the day to go well). Step 1, Burn the Candle
Yesterday, I sent the bulk of KCC2 off to Genius Book Designer (hint, I make the knitting pretty...she makes the book pretty and useable...we like her). Now this in no way means the book is done. It just means all of the patterns and the bulk of the other text is ready for her to work her magic. It's one of those milestones I talked about. Sorry for the radio silence over the last few days. I'm finishing up a big stage of the behind-the-scenes stuff for KCC2. The bulk of it goes off to the layout artist on September 1, which means I need to have it, say...finished...by September 1. Wait...I did tell you guys I was doing a sequel, right?
