Just a little sneak peek at what's coming early next year! The pattern for this hat will (probably, you know how I get nervous about casting anything in stone, but probably) be the first new pattern of the new year. The regular pattern will have instructions for the embroidery as shown here (where each column of embroidery uses two strands of yarn, the ones there are either yellow/gray, yellow/yellow, blue/gray, or blue/blue) and the 6 strand braid shown here. Shiny
Yup, yup that will do, I can work with that! Again, that's just sort of a little test swatch for doing instructional stuff. The actual pattern side of things will be...more woolly/less shiny. But for showing off how to do it? That will work nicely!

Ok so check this out, these are the same star. No really, I followed the same folding instructions to make both of them, just with a few tweaks on the blue one! This is seriously one of my favorite things about the stars, teeny tiny little changes sort of propagate out to give you totally different looks.
