Playing Favorites, Part 2

Bounce bounce bounce
I am generally rather orderly. Some might say alarmingly orderly. I'm a huge fan of breaking a large task into smaller ones, putting the pieces in the right order, allocating time for them, and moving through the list. I've written and published five books in the last few years. You sort of have to be orderly to pull that off. At least I do. But right now I'm feeling scattered. It's not the bad sort of scattered, it's the 'oh holy crap muffins I just had the best idea and now I am absolutely itching to implement it please can [...]

We've chatted before about the process of picking yarns for a book. I've explained that it's both tremendously fun and more than a bit nerve-wracking. Fits and Spurts
The sock is growing. It's firmly in the 'I am clearly a sock and am recognizable as such to non knitters' stage of the process, which I always find reassuring. But I've let it sit, unattended, for a few days now, and it has completely and totally failed to finish itself. I think I'll give it another day or two and see if there is any spontaneous knitting. Adumbrate
The revamped and rereleased pattern for Adumbrate is now up on ravelry. Pics first, but do read on, as I've got yarn to give away!These are another of my early patterns, and I was delighted to redo them. We all know I'm a sucker for fingerless mitts (seriously, I have a whole wardrobe of them, some to match all of my pajamas, and I wear them all winter long). KCC3 Knit along, Fucus asparagoides projects
The knit along for the projects based on the Fucus asparagoides print is starting over on ravelry. That's this lovely curved shawl (I just love that shape far more than is reasonable, it's so easy to wear) and these super lacy socks.I am a huge believer in low-stress knit alongs, so this one is pretty laid back. Hey, that looks familiar. That looks rather like a sock. Do you have any idea how long it's been since I knit a sock? The last pair were Amenable and I finished them at the end of January. Next up in the the ongoing (dare I say never-ending, all-consuming, perhaps even frenzied) project of rereleasing old patterns, Adumbrate. These will be going up this coming week. Folks on the mailing list will get an announcement (and usually some sort of coupon or other goody) as soon as it's up. You know those conversations you sometimes have with yourself as you're knitting? The ones that point out that you're using the wrong size needle, or that you really should be twisting that column, or that your cast on is a bit wobbly? The ones that you really should listen to sooner, rather than later?
