What was that? Not enough yarn around here lately? Well, I was just at Rhinebeck, and I do have every intention of bombarding you with just a wee bit of yarn from that little adventure. Dummy
No, no I am not calling you names. You, dear readers, are all unusually clever (and might I mention astonishing attractive). I just want to talk to you about dummies. Dummies are blank books made up by the printer in the dimensions/page count/paper type you're considering for a book. So these here are the two sizes I'm considering for the current sneakypants project (and yes, those are all sneakypants samples, because the books looked way too plain by themselves...no, you may not see them up close yet). There I sat, admiring my swatch. Loving it really. The drape, the gauge, the yarn, the color, all was well. Look at that red thing (details of said swatch intentionally and shamelessly obscured in the interest of secrecy preservation). In The Grip
I got the nicest note from someone the other day saying they were sorry I wasn't knitting much these days. I had to do a bit of a double take. I sort of feel like I've been knitting like a mad woman. That cramp in my neck and the twinge just above my right elbow also seem to indicate that I've been knitting rather a lot. What I've not been doing is showing you my knitting. These Things Keep Happening
Somehow, despite all my firm intentions to work on only one (or, you know, two) big projects at a time, something snuck up on me the other day. I really couldn't help it. It started as a swatch. A simple little swatch. Then there was a period of graph paper experimentation and a bit of shameless arithmetic.
