Woven
I have an unreasonable fondness for knitted fabrics that look woven at first glance. It's one of the reasons I love this curl. It's got all of the structure of a woven fabric with the stretch and bounce of a knit. The back of it is even pretty too (always a nice touch in a wrap, as I am pretty much incapable of making sure just one side faces forward). We've talked about the surprising number of steps between 'I have this idea for a book' and 'hey, look, here's a book I made.' Some of them are fairly easy to guess (write stuff down, knit things, take photos of things, make it all look like a book). Some are a little more surprising. Me? Oh I'll just be over here, curled up in this pile of knitting sleeping for a few weeks. Naps are good for you. If one of you could take care of figuring out how to make sure the whole world is cushioned with great billowy piles of yarn by the time I get back up, that would be great. This is Metalico by Blue Sky Alpacas, and I'll officially nominate it as an excellent choice a substantial portion of that cushioning. It's really rather splendid.

Yes, yes I am still making the trivet. Yes, I am having more fun than anyone should be able to have with some felt and some string. No, I don't expect anyone else to understand the appeal. Whippersnapper
Yup, still busy bringing the early patterns back out of hibernation! Today, it's time for Whippersnapper. I won't lie, these are not hard socks. They're basically just a pretty rib with a bit of fancy stitch work in a few of the columns. But sometimes, well sometimes that's just what you need! You'll have them memorized in no time, and the resulting sock is undeniably dapper.
