Ok, pop quiz! Who's been here long enough to remember what this is? ⁠ I'll tell you ahead of time, it's not another snowman (three is enough, three is enough, three is enough, if I keep telling myself that maybe I'll believe it), but it does go rather well with snowmen, if you're so inclined...

Ahem. And if two tiny, knitted snowmen help with certain situations, perhaps a third might come in handy?⁠ Though to be fair, good sense dictates that I cut myself off after three. Well, no. Good sense would probably dictate that I not do it at all. The pressing need to go take pattern photos dictates that I cut myself off after three. But in a world where I didn't need to do those practical things, I'd make a small army and stage a Calvin and Hobbes style scene with absolutely no hesitation.⁠ But I have to be a grownup just [...]

If there are problems in this world that can be solved by tiny, knitted snowmen (and I'm not even necessarily saying that there are, but let's just explore the hypothetical for a moment), it seems likely that they can be better solved by two tiny, knitted snowmen, doesn't it? Especially if that second tiny, knitted snowman has a different hat and scarf than their friend. ⁠ That's my story and I'm sticking to it.⁠ (Pattern is scheduled to come out next week, do the mailing list thing at the link in my profile if you're so inclined.)

Right. Yup. This is fast approaching murderous levels of cute. I'd apologize, but I absolutely am not sorry at all.⁠ What I am is downright frantic with glee. And given that we're hurtling into the winter darkness at terrifying speed, I will cling to whatever glee I can find.⁠ I invite you to cling right along with me. With just a tiny bit of luck, we will pull ourselves through this more or less in one piece.

So right, yes, sure, cuteness has significantly increased. But, well, we're not exactly done. There are still several more things we can do to increase the rampant cuteness happening in these parts.⁠ And yes, yes my lovely friends, it will be a pattern (very nearly everything I make turns into a pattern, and I generally say well ahead of time if by some strange chance it won't be, but really, pretty much everything eventually is). I told you we wouldn't let our snowy buddy hang out en déshabillé for too long. We are knitters. We can solve this problem quite handily with materials ready to hand...

Those among you with a sensitive nature may wish to look away. This snowman is scandalously naked. But not, I assure you, for long.  

I'm going to talk about a thing that I like (plastic pellets in my knitting), but every time I talk about it, someone comes along & goes 'but whyyyyyy use plaaaaaaaaaaastic' (even on posts where I have explained, at length, exactly why). So I'm just going to preemptively request that folks not do that here, because it's kinda tiresome (to be fair, this is way way way more of a problem on instagram than here, you folks are cooler than that!). Yup. Yup this is happening. And oh but it only gets worse from here. Consider yourself warned.⁠ If you want to head off in search of more somber, serious, respectable pursuits, I will completely understand. I will, in fact, pack you a lunch and wish you well on your journey. ⁠ But I? I'm going to be hanging out right here. Doing this. And worse. For the foreseeable future.
