Am I going to knit gray yarn in January? Yes. Yes I am. Is this advisable? Possibly not. But you'll note that all these grays have Wee Tiny Speckles of Bright Shiny Colors. What do I want to do today? Knit on this...knit on this and revel in each and every single little burst of color on this gray cold day. What do I need to do today? Thanks for (not) coming
Thanks to everyone who has canceled plans and stayed home over the last few weeks to help keep everyone safer. I know it sucks. I know we're tired of it. I know it's infuriating to see other people being so heartbreakingly callous on such a massive scale. But I want you to know I see you and I appreciate what you're doing. Thank you, and may other folks follow your example.
Pair
And there's the pair of them, all shiny and done. Soak
Ahhhh, see, isn't that nice? I could really go for whatever the people version of blocking is. The relaxing soak and gentle primping parts, not so much the soaking in cold water for an hour and being left to dry in front of the space heater part. Just a little something to smooth out the rough spots.
Starry
Ahem. I told you it was going to be good. Now hang on just one second and I'll block it, which will make it Even Better (no, really, I am a seething ball of stress and rage and despair, and I can see it in my stitches, but a nice soak evens all sorts of things right out, you'll see). Even Niftier
Yeah yeah yeah, this is taken all of a few dozen stitches later than the previous pic. Totally true. But really, that's worth seeing. And in just a second here, it's going to get Even Niftier.

Oh...oh you're going to like this. Or at least I'm going to like it, which is usually a pretty good indication that a fair number of you are going to like it. Hold tight, we're almost there!
Almost
It is almost time for the decreases. Which is good, because before I started this one I wound off a tiny bit of that purple yarn and set it aside (and, wonder of wonders, I even know where it is). And in just about another inch here, I get to do something pretty with it. And I Can Not Wait.
